Continuous MeasurementHold down the READ button while moving the device to see real-time distance updates on the display. Advanced Calculations Calculating Area (Square Footage) Press the AREA button. Measure the length of the room. Press the AREA button again. Measure the width of the room. The device will automatically display the total area. Calculating Volume (Cubic Space) Press the VOL button. Measure the length. Press VOL and measure the width. Press VOL and measure the height. The total cubic measurement will appear on the display.
