Zeokat has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Aerosoft Crj Fsx Updated ✯

The complexity of the FMS and systems offers a steep learning curve, making it perfect for flight simmerers looking to transition from General Aviation to airline operations. Tips for Flying the Updated Aerosoft CRJ in FSX

: Features a brand-new high-fidelity passenger cabin and galley for each variant.

Native Development: Aerosoft confirmed in December 2025 that developer Hans Hartmann is building a . This version will include "lots of new features" specifically designed for the newer simulator's architecture.

In the ever-evolving world of flight simulation, the spotlight has firmly shifted to Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) and Lockheed Martin’s Prepar3D v5/v6. However, a surprisingly resilient army of virtual pilots remains loyal to the old guard: . For those simmers, the Aerosoft CRJ 700/900 series has long been the gold standard for regional jet simulation. But with servers changing and support winding down, the question every FSX user is asking remains: Has the Aerosoft CRJ for FSX been updated, and is it still viable in 2025?

The Aerosoft CRJ for FSX was celebrated for its depth and realism, replicating the unique operational characteristics of the real aircraft: aerosoft crj fsx updated

Aerosoft CRJ for FSX Updated: Bringing Modern Regional Jet Realism to Flight Simulator X

If using the Steam Edition, make sure to take advantage of its better memory management compared to the original FSX. Conclusion

and platforms, which recently received significant flight model overhauls. Recent Major Milestones (2025–2026)

: Multiple improvements to SID/STAR tracking and turn radius calculations to avoid overshooting turns. The complexity of the FMS and systems offers

Input your departure, destination, payload weights, and fuel blocks into the CDU.

Complete simulation of the electric, hydraulic, fuel, and pneumatic networks. System failures are accurately modeled if mishandled.

Late-stage service packs solved the notorious "Out of Memory" (OOM) errors that plagued early 32-bit simulator add-ons.

To take advantage of new technologies and simulation platforms, Aerosoft announced the "CRJ Professional" series for P3D v4.5. This was a significant redesign, promising all-new exterior and interior models with full PBR (Physically Based Rendering), TrueGlass integration, and a new Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) with Navigraph chart support. A key promise from lead developer Hans Hartmann was that all bug fixes from this new version would also be made available for the existing CRJ on P3D and FSX without requiring a new purchase. The CRJ Professional received its own updates, including Service Pack 2 and 3, which continued to refine systems like DIR INTC, ice detection, and ETA calculations. This version will include "lots of new features"

If you are looking to upgrade from FSX, I can help you find information on the Aerosoft CRJ for Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) or compare it with other aircraft like the PMDG 737 or Fenix A320. Which would you prefer? Share public link

The initial versions of the Aerosoft CRJ for FSX and Prepar3D were a solid foundation but, like many complex add-ons, were not without their initial issues. Community feedback and rigorous internal testing quickly identified areas for improvement, leading Aerosoft and lead developer Hans Hartmann to commit to a robust update schedule. The development history shows a clear pattern: initial releases followed by iterative service packs and hotfixes, a transition to a "Professional" line, and most recently, the ambitious v2 update that has revitalized the product for modern simulators like Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. This ongoing dedication to refinement has ensured the CRJ has remained a top-tier choice for virtual regional jet pilots.

    This seems to work:
    #!/usr/bin/perl -w use strict; use LWP::UserAgent; my $ua = LWP::UserAgent->new; my $url = 'http://localhost/...'; $ua->default_headers->push_header(Range => "bytes=1000-2000"); my $response = $ua->get($url); my $content = $response->content(); warn length($content); warn $content;
To get the current content length of the object, you can do a HEAD before and look at the content-length header.
The code works verrrrrrry good eserte. Big thanks. But new question arrive to my head, are there any way to know if the server have the abbility of "Accept-Ranges: bytes" ?? Thanks in advance.
Try fetching with HEAD instead of GET to view the Accept* headers without getting the content itself
